I finally could say that my real success against smoking started since the very moment I knew the benefits I received from it, day by day, month by month, year by year. And believe me, knowing that, I felt stronger to fight against that cigarette I lighted up every more or less two hours for years in my life. So I thing this information should be very useful for you guys who are trying hard to get over smoking. Once you know what you are achieving with your efforts, you wouldn't want to get back.

- Do you know that after 8 hours of not smoking, carbon monoxide level in blood drops to normal and oxygen level increases back?
- After 24 hours hazard of having a heart attack from smoking decreases notably.
- After 48 hours of not-smoking effort, the nerve endings regrow and ability to smell and taste improves, giving you a new sense of what you eat and smell.
- After 2 weeks to 3 months circulation improves, and you will find that walking doesn’t get you tired as before because Lung capacity to get oxygen has increased up to 30%.
- In one to nine months: you will notice a decrease in coughing, fatigue and shortness of breath! That's because your Lungs are reconstructing by themselves by cilia regrow into them, increasing their ability to handle mucus and reduce infection.
- In five years: Lung cancer chances have decreased by almost half that the average one-pack-a-day smoker, stroke risk is reduced to that of a non-smoker 5 to 15 years after quitting and the risk of contracting the types of cancer a smoker could develop: Mouth, Throat and Esophagus, is half that of the average smoker.
- In ten years(and only then): You almost beat the Lung cancer risk, because death rate due to this cancer is similar to that of a non-smoker, besides precancerous cells have been replaced. Risk of another types of cancer like bladder, kidney, cervix and pancreas decreases.
